Limitations¶

QuickBooks Complete can work with large QuickBooks companies when configured appropriately.

Sync timing expectations¶

• Initial sync typically takes about one second per item to push data into monday.
• Large initial syncs can take hours or longer.

monday’s limit on items-per-board¶

• On most plans, monday limits boards to 10,000 items.
• monday Enterprise raises this to 100,000 items per board.

Ways to deal with this limit include:

1. If you don’t need all your historical data on monday, when linking a board use the Sync from date setting to exclude older data.
2. Upgrade to monday Enterprise.
3. Use multiple boards for historical data, and dashboards for an integrated view.

Detailed workflow for multi-board history¶

1. Link the main board and monitor things as the board size gets close to the monday item limit.
2. Move older items in bulk to one or more archive boards. Select a set of items up to 500 and use Monday features to move them to your archive boards.
3. After the sync catches up, unlink and relink the main board with a recent Sync from date (for example, today) so older history does not get repopulated.
4. If you choose to delete older monday items over time instead of archiving them, still unlink and relink with a recent Sync from date, to avoid them getting repopulated.
