Inventory

QuickBooks Complete syncs QuickBooks Products and Services, including inventory items, to monday while QuickBooks remains the system of record for inventory quantities and valuation.

Inventory tracking requires QuickBooks Online Plus or Advanced and must be enabled in QuickBooks. See Set up and track your inventory in QuickBooks Online.

Product and service boards

A synced Product/Service board includes catalog, category, purchasing, account, tax, and inventory information from QuickBooks.

Categories and groups may appear on the board, but QuickBooks Complete does not offer them as Product/Service choices in item views or Automations.

Quantity On Hand is a current QuickBooks snapshot, not an inventory adjustment ledger. Purchase Cost is a Product/Service setting, not QuickBooks inventory valuation.

Create an inventory product or service

Create an inventory Product or Service using the QuickBooks data editing item view. The initial quantity, inventory start date, and inventory account settings are part of the creation process and are subject to QuickBooks validation.

If inventory tracking is not enabled, the Inventory type is unavailable in the item view. After enabling it in QuickBooks, choose Update counts from the company menu on the Connections screen before trying again.

Inventory changes

After creation, Product/Service Type, Quantity On Hand, Track Quantity On Hand, and Inventory Start Date are read-only in QuickBooks Complete. Saving another Product/Service change does not send an inventory quantity adjustment to QuickBooks.

QuickBooks calculates quantity changes from inventory-affecting transactions, including transactions created through QuickBooks Complete. QuickBooks Complete Automations can create these transactions in QuickBooks from monday data. When an automation creates an inventory-affecting transaction, such as an invoice with inventory Product/Service lines, QuickBooks applies the resulting inventory change. Make stock-count corrections with an inventory adjustment in QuickBooks. QuickBooks Complete then syncs the resulting quantity back to the Product/Service board.

Additional inventory features are planned for the coming months. See the Roadmap.
